Shepherd tending flock in Illesheim, Germany. Illesheim is located in Bavaria about 2 miles from Bad Windsheim, my home during my first five years in Germany.

This is one of my favorite scenes of Bad Windsheim. This is a view I often saw as I made my walks around the old, once moated city.

This beautiful fountain is situated right in the heart of downtown Bad Windsheim.

Rothenburg lies on the Romantic Road in the heart of Franken, in the state of Bavaria. It is one of the most well-preseverd walled cities in Germany.
